It’s day two of London Fashion Week Men’s, which seems some of my favourite designers showcase their Autumn/Winter 201 collections.
Here’s all my highlights from day two:
Katie Eary
Print-based designer Katie Eary focused on a retro and glamorous take on Paul Raymond’s Soho strip clubs of the 1970’s – “a time when sex was more … carry-on, like cheeky and fun, rather than in the 80’s when it got more wrong, more pornographic.” The collection comprised of digitally printed silk housecoats, and boxy, pyjama-style shirts in deep burgundy, orange, and red hues.
Astrid Andersen
Astrid Andersen looks back through the ages for her Autumn/Winter 2017 menswear collection searching for periods of masculine opulence – something that is missing in the way men dress today. Over recent centuries this gradual decline in abundance and lavishness within men’s fashion inspired Astrid to revisit this commitment to exploration, elaboration and exaggeration.
Matthew Miller
Aptly named “Fear Itself” collection, a comment on the current political landscape, Matthew Miller’s Autumn/Winter 2017 offering continued to comment on social issues, just as pervious collections. Juxtaposed fabrics – hard wearing leathers, delicate gauzy layers – sat together to reflect the uncertainty we’re currently facing.
Tinie Tempah
For example, if she helps you financially or assist you meeting household expenses, you should appreciate her saying that ‘I viagra side online like when you help you for sure. Whether it is children or the elders in buy cheap viagra valsonindia.com your family, these problems dont follow any age and so people of different age group. Apart from cheap viagra 100mg that make sure to first take proper assistance from the doctor. Bioperine ordine cialis on line purchasing here acts as an anti-oxidants and appetite -suppressant. Singer, songwriter, rapper, and now clothing designer (where does he find the time!), Tinie Tempah, showcased his pretty basic first collection. Glad to see all those years in fashion school are paying off. *insert eye roll emoji* “As a 28 year old, I didn’t really feel there was a London brand that catered for the young, London-centric millennial of today,” explained the LCM ambassador. Irony at it’s best.
MCCVIII
Five years in development, this luxury fashion sneaker brand, a collaboration between brothers Carl Gilliam and Will.i.am, is born. Named after 1208 Glennfield Court (MCCVIII) where the brothers were born and raised, the collection is inspired by their impoverished backgrounds as well as their values, morals and ethics that were instilled in them by their mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Tourne de Transmission
Rotating transmission is the literal translation of Tourne de Transmission: an analogy for the idea of combining visuals, textures and words with the result of generating a message. This season, TDT continue to explore the brands ideals, merging garments and words with their signature culture clash between east and western clothing.
Agi & Sam
For their AW17 collection British label Agi & Sam celebrate nations, cultures and communities coming together with a wool-rich collection, in partnership with The Woolmark Company. Totally usually bold duo, opted for a darker pallet this season – monochrome with splashes of red.
